Bennie SkyWatch is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page explains exactly what exists and where it goes.
Everything you configure — your radar location, saved places, tracked aircraft, filters, theme, and settings — is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) only. Nothing is sent to a server we control. Uninstalling the app or clearing site data removes it completely.
On your very first launch, before you set a location yourself, the app may request your approximate location from a public IP-geolocation lookup service to center the map near you. This is the only case where anything about you leaves your device before you've explicitly configured the app. If you deny location access or set a location manually, this doesn't happen.
The app fetches live public data directly from your browser to these providers, per their own respective privacy policies:
If you subscribe to Premium, payment is handled entirely by Paddle.com, acting as merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing contact details directly — we never see or store your card details. We receive only a signed entitlement token confirming your subscription tier, with no billing information attached. See Paddle's own privacy policy for how they handle your payment data.
There is no sign-up, no user account, and no server-side database. We do not run analytics or tracking scripts beyond what's disclosed above.
